A Tonkawa man was injured last night in a motorcycle-deer strike.
68-year-old Ronald Marler was taken to Alliance Health in Ponca City in stable condition with leg, and trunk external injuries.
The crash occurred just before 8:30 last night North Avenue and ‘P’ Street, approximately 3 mile east of Tonkawa. The deer entered the roadway into the path of Marler’s Harley Davidson motorcycle. The accident report said that Marler was separated from his bike some 150 feet.
The OHP, Tonkawa Police Department, Kay County SO, and the Tonkawa Fire Department all responded.
