A former Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper charged with assaulting three women during traffic stops has waived his right to a jury trial.
44-year-old Eric Roberts has pleaded not guilty to sexual assault, indecent exposure and sexual battery charges.
The allegations surfaced in 2014 when one woman filed a federal lawsuit alleging Roberts raped her following a traffic stop.
Roberts was suspended in July 2014 and resigned two months later.
He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 6th to enter a new plea.
