Hannah Nealis, a graduate of Jenks High School, has been named women’s basketball student-athlete of the week at Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa.
Greg Krause, head coach for the NOC Lady Mavs, made the announcement for the week ending Nov. 13.
Nealis, a 5’9” freshman, averaged 20.7 points per game, 3.7 assists per game and 2 steals per game for the week. She shot 52 percent from the field and 48 percent from the 3-point line.
“Hannah is adapting very well to the flow of college basketball,” Krause said. “Additionally, she has taken on the point guard position due to an injury on the team. She is playing with confidence.”
The Lady Mavs’ record is 6-0, following a 99-70 win over the Brown Mackie Lady Lions from Salina, Kan. Nov. 11.
The next home game is Nov. 19 against the Tyler (Texas) Junior College Apache Ladies.
