Newkirk Water Project Moving Forward

Newkirk city commissioners have approved an amendment to the city’s water project. It calls for crews to replace 450 feet of 6-inch water line with new 10-inch line. It would include crossing the railroad tracks near 9^th street. Commissioners have also approved the beginning of the design phase of the 6^th and White Plum sewer lift stations. The city will apply for a community development block grant to help defray costs.
