NOC Business Division Hosts Speaker

Cara Jane Carson, current president of the Oklahoma Business Incubator Association, will address students and community members Wednesday, Nov. 2 at Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa.

She will speak at 10 a.m. in Wilkin Auditorium, according to Laura Marshall, business faculty. “If you are interested in starting your own business, Ms. Carson can give valuable information,” Marshall said. “All disciplines are invited to listen to Ms. Carson speak. The public is cordially invited to attend.”

Carson is the Self Employment Coordinator in a CareerTech incubator at Autry Technology Center in Enid. She also manages deal flow for Private Partners Opportunity Fund, which has participated in deals with SeedStep Angels and Cowboy Technology Angels and has invested in companies in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas.

A graduate of Oklahoma State University, she is a business coach and graphic facilitator in addition to having started and operated several ventures of her own.

The NOC Division of Business and Kappa Beta Delta, international business honor society for ACBSP accredited business programs, are hosting the guest speaker. Admission is free.
