The Northern Oklahoma College (NOC) Board of Regents met Dec. 14. The Regents listened to a program showcase presentation, in addition to receiving updates from the NOC president and college administrators. Board members discussed and took action on several agenda items.
The regular scheduled meeting, with Chair Jeff Cowan presiding, was held on the Tonkawa campus. Other Regents present were Secretary Chad Dillingham and member Stan Brownlee.
The Nov. 16 meeting minutes were approved as written followed by a review of the external audit report by James Hinkle, managing partner, Hinkle & Company, PC. Hinkle commented that the audit was clean with no problems or significant deficiencies.
Next, the program showcase was presented by Agriculture, Science and Engineering Division Chair Tricia Moore assisted by Eugene Young, NOC science instructor.
Other reports and updates were given on personnel changes, the future Stillwater facility, Higher Learning Commission new criteria for accreditation, spring semester enrollment, and the NOC strategic plan.
Anita Simpson, NOC vice president for financial affairs presented the monthly financial reports and responded to questions from the Board members.
The Regents discussed and took action on several items. They approved changing the Jan. meeting location to Tonkawa, the addition of Title IX policy documents to NOC policy documents, the external audit report, the monthly financial report and purchases, and the monthly allocation request for various projects.
The next scheduled meeting will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at NOC Tonkawa.
