A Stillwater man was injured Wednesday in a collision in Osage County that killed a Shidler man.
28 year old Justin Lowe of Stillwater was driving a tractor trailer northbound about three miles south of Fairfax on state Highway 18 at about 11:14 a.m. when his truck left the roadway.
His vehicle struck a pick-up driven by 72 year old Charles Cordwell Jr. of Shidler.
Cordwell was pronounced dead at the scene after being pinned in his vehicle for nearly three hours.
He was freed by the Fairfax Fire Department.
Lowe was transported by ambulance to Fairfax Hospital in stable condition before being transferred to a Tulsa hospital.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
