PCHS Offering FAFSA Assistance/Completion Session

Attention all HIGH SCHOOL seniors! The Ponca City Senior High School is hosting a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) completion session on November 1, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Po-Hi Assembly Center. All seniors who are planning on attending any college in the fall of 2017 need to complete this free application.

Parents and senior students are encouraged to attend this session. Helpful information will be provided as well as assistance in setting up an FAFSA account. Northern Oklahoma College Financial Aid Counselor Kelly Jordan will be available to assist families and their seniors in completing the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid as well as assist families in setting up an FSA ID (Federal Student Aid Identification and Password).

Parents and seniors from other local high schools are welcome to attend this session. The parents should bring their seniors with them; however, it is not a requirement. Information that the parents should bring includes:

  • DOB, SSN for the parent/parents (or step parent if the parent has remarried) and the student
  • Student and parents email addresses
  • Copy of the 2015 Federal Tax Returns. Both the parent/parents and students as well (if filed taxes). This information can be helpful, but it is not required.

If the parent cannot attend, the senior can come themselves or make an appointment for individual assistance by calling Kelly Jordan at 580-628-6549. The student does NOT have to be attending NOC to obtain this free assistance for FAFSA completion. For questions, attendees can stop by the Po-Hi counselor’s office and see Mrs. Runnels, Activity Secretary or contact the Po-Hi Main Office at 580-767-9500.
