The Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) December Students of the Month are Shalee Asche and Courtney Sandborn. Representing Trade and Industry Asche is a senior at Newkirk High School and in her second year of Cosmetology. She was crowned Miss Newkirk this year and is active at the Newkirk Methodist Church. According to her instructor Asche has a strong passion for nails and is an exceptional artist. “Shalee demonstrates a love of learning and a commitment to the content of the program,” remarked Kayla Randol, Cosmetology Instructor. Courtney Sandborn, Health Careers also attends Newkirk High School and is in her first year of the Health Careers Certification program at Pioneer Tech. Sandborn’s instructor says that she is an excellent role model and serious about her career goals. “She will make a wonderful care giver and I consider it an honor to have her in my program,” said Brenda Bennett, PTC instructor.
