Authorities say a man has died and an unborn baby was lost after a crash in Pawnee County.
According to reports, 22-year old Austin Franks of Fairfax was driving southbound on State Highway 18, about 3 miles north of Pawnee, at around 8:15 a.m. on Feb. 15. Franks’ vehicle reportedly left the roadway, entered into a broad-slide and slammed into two trees.
Franks was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
A 19-year-old passenger in the car was 32 weeks pregnant according to officials. The unborn child died in the crash.
The female passenger is listed in stable condition at Stillwater Medical Center.
